Lunch Program FAQs
1. What suppliers are we using for the Lunch Program, and where can I find allergy/nutritional information for each?
Our menus follow the HealthlinkBC guidelines for food and beverage sales in BC Schools. A general ingredient list is provided with the menu items while ordering. If your child has food allergies, please review the ingredient list, as well as visit the supplier's websites to review allergy & nutritional FAQs.

2. Once I create an account and log on, am I committed to ordering?
No. You may create an account and browse the dates and menu options.
3. What are my payment options?
Payment is by credit card only on-line. If you cannot pay by credit card, please contact Hot Lunch Admin at [email protected].
If full payment is not received by the deadline, your entire order for that session will be cancelled.
4. What if my child is sick or away?
** NEW ** If your child is absent and you wish to pickup their lunch, you must email [email protected] by 8:00am the day of the hot lunch. It will be available for pick-up between 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm at the PAC kitchen, near the gym. Otherwise, it will be considered a donation. No refunds will be issued.
If you know a minimum of 8 days beforehand that your child will be absent for a lunch, please contact Hot Lunch Admin at [email protected] and your order for that date can be cancelled and refunded to your account. For example, if hot lunch is on a Friday, we need to be notified by noon on Thursday of the previous week in order to remove it from supplier reports.
5. If my child is sick or away, can I have their lunch sent to a sibling/cousin/friend?
Students will be able to pick-up absent sibling's lunches directly from the classroom anytime during lunch, or from the PAC kitchen when it is returned there around 12:55pm. Volunteers will not be re-routing lunches to siblings.
6. How do I make changes to my order?
Changes can only be made while the lunch session's ordering window is open. To add more items, simply log into your account and select the items to add. To remove items while ordering is open, contact Hot Lunch Admin at [email protected].
Please be aware that once the ordering has closed for the current session, no changes can be made.
7. I have forgotten what I ordered. How do I view my orders, or print a new copy for the session?
You may login to your Munch account, go to "My Account - View my Orders" from the main menu. Under "My Orders," you may click on [View] to create a PDF file to view, save, or print the order details.
8. How do I cancel a lunch date or entire order?
With a minimum of 8 days notice, a lunch date(s) may be completely cancelled and credited back to your account, but changes cannot be made once ordering has closed (e.g. change of chips flavour or type of drink). For example, if hot lunch is on a Friday, we need to be notified by noon on Thursday of the previous week in order to remove it from supplier reports.
9. What happens if a field trip is scheduled on a hot lunch date?
If a field trip is pre-planned (ie. outdoor school or scheduled day trips) and coincides with lunch time, it will be noted in the Munch-a-Lunch system – when ordering, please check your dates. Occasionally, teachers plan a field trip after ordering has 'closed'. In this case, please contact Hot Lunch Admin at [email protected] and those classes will receive a credit to their family account, as long as 8 days notice is given. If notice is too short for suppliers, we will do our best to get the lunches to the students that same day, though this is not always possible.
