About ULE PACThe Upper Lynn Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is the organization at Upper Lynn Elementary School that represents the parents of the students attending the school.
Who are the members of the PAC? All of the parents and guardians of students attending the school are automatically members of the Upper Lynn PAC. When are the PAC Meetings? The schedule for the 2023-2024 school year is as follows: September 18 (in person), November 20 (zoom), January 29 (in person), April 8 (zoom) and June 17 (AGM - in person). The role of the Upper Lynn Parent Advisory Council is to advise the Principal and staff of the school and the North Vancouver Board of Education of the parents’ perspective regarding any matter related to the school. Why is the PAC important? The right and responsibility of parents & guardians to participate in the process of determining educational goals, policies and services provided for their children in the provincial school system has been recognized for some time by the Ministry of Education in British Columbia. Why is it crucial to have parent involvement in the PAC? The Upper Lynn Elementary School PAC has the responsibility of representing and speaking on behalf of all the parents and guardians of students at this school. To fulfill this responsibility, the PAC requires the sustained participation and ongoing contribution of the views of all parents and guardians. |
